Happy New Year Habits
Happy New Year! Many of us head into the New Year with big goals and ambitions. We think about everything that seems to be lacking in our lives and imagine ourselves far happier and more fulfilled on the other side of massive change. And, there is no denying that certain accomplishments can amp up your life satisfaction. But ,in truth, your daily habits are the biggest contributor to your happiness.If you want to feel good about yourself and your life, you need to regularly do the things that make you feel peaceful, joyful, and alive. Today, on the first day of this year, instead of making resolutions that involve breaking all your "bad" habits, begin to instead set your intentions to create new habits that will actually benefit your life. Habits such as regular meditation practices, mindfulness exercises, regular use of affirmations. making time to connect with yourself so you can know what you need in any given moment and loving yourself no matter what. When you lovingly embrace and accept yourself, focus your attention on what you want instead of what you don’t want, and set fluid intentions for the New Year, you are more likely to naturally flow toward choices that are aligned with your goals and achieve your desired results. This life is not a sprint but a marathon. Set your intentions to create new habits that support your growth and ultimately your happiness.
Just for today, I release all that no longer serves me. I feel free and light. I release the past and bless the last year with love. Today begins a new adventure and I eagerly look forward to it. I love and accept myself just as I am. I am grateful for what is. I let go of what was and I have faith in what will be. I am safe and all is truly well in my world. And so it is.
