Mistakes

“The greatest mistake you can make in life is to be continually fearing you will make one.” It’s okay to make mistakes. So many of us are too concerned with perfection. In fact, sometimes we become so concerned about being "perfect" that we don't give ourselves a chance to really learn anything new because if we don’t do it perfectly in the first three minutes, we assume we are not good enough. And, heaven forbid we make a mistake!

Today, begin to recognize that mistakes are merely stepping stones on your journey. They are in truth incredibly valuable because they are your teachers. So, stop punishing yourself for making mistakes. Be willing to learn and grow from each mistake you make. Show yourself compassion, look for the lesson and allow your mistakes to serve as the next step toward fulfillment in your life. Today, as you begin to do new things for a New Year, recognize that we all make mistakes when we are learning. It’s the forward motion that’s important, no matter how small. Today cut yourself a break, allow yourself to make mistakes and in doing so you will allow yourself to move forward into your future without fear!

Just for today, I love and accept myself even though I make mistakes. When I make a mistake I realize that it is only a part of the learning process. I forgive myself for not being perfect. I am living the best way I know how. I am in the process of making positive changes in every area of my life and everything is working out for my highest good And so it is.
